S.A.W.W  Level Three 

8 hour course classroom and hands-on

 * Level  one and two is a prerequisite to attending this training

  • Segment calculation

  • Height determination

  • Understanding backlean and limits 

  • Overcoming lean using wedges and segments

  •  Precision stump

  •  Practice felling difficult trees

  • Review of training Q&A session

Level 3 provides students with techniques for handling difficult trees. At this level, students will learn various wedging techniques, segment calculation, height measurement, a full understanding of good side/bad side, and the meaning of "not my tree".  Participants in this level will learn how to fell a tree against the tree’s natural lean. We will practice reading the stump and scoring each felling process.
